We are delighted to announce that the BANNA BEAST CHALLENGE – THE FALL  which will take place on Sept 3rd 2016, on the Beautiful Banna Beach, Co Kerry, will  host  the inaugural  Irish  OCR Championships. For the first time ever Ireland will have the opportunity to find its own National  champion as well as the opportunity to qualify for The OCR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.   The Irish Championships is not limited to athletes from Ireland but there will be a special category for the 1st,2nd and 3rd Irish male and female home.   This event will be chip- timed and will be of a world approved format. The race will consist of a  10 km obstacle challenge, with mandatory obstacles, electronic penalty system and a stadium style finish with technical and challenging obstacles. The OCR Association Ireland have certified The Banna Beast Challenge obstacle course for use as the Irish Championship Course.  More Details of obstacles and course route will be available and uploaded closer to the event. Places for the Irish Championships are limited and filling up fast – Don’t delay –  Register now.

We are delighted to announce that the  top  male and female Elite  competitors (subject of a maximum of 50% of total entrants) as well as the top male and female age categories 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+  will automatically qualify for The OCR WC , THE OCR  WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, which will take place  in Blue Mountain, Canada on 14 -16 October 2016.   The World Championships will be a bringing together of the worlds fittest, strongest and most talented obstacle course racing athletes, and we are delighted to be able to give you the opportunity to qualify for this right here in Ireland.
